Flexible and strong
Manufactured from Ultra-high-molecular-weight High Density Polyethylene (UHMW-HDPE), each pontoon module is joined at each corner by threaded connectors. This creates a modular system that is exceptionally tight and strong, yet flexible enough to suit a variety of installations.
Surface performance
The pontoon surface has an anti-slip pattern and the material offers excellent resistance to UV light and chemicals. It is equally well suited to both fresh and salt water environments. The material is heat resistant, cold resistant and environmentally friendly. The pontoon system has been tried and tested in the cold of Antarctica, the heat of the Middle East and the stress of tidal locations.
Working around you
Our modular pontoons can be constructed to easily fit into and around existing structures in any shape you like. Whether it be the abutments of a bridge or piles on a pier the modular system is infinitely customisable to meet your needs. Industrial covering is available which protects the surface from sparks, allowing for hot works to be undertaken on the pontoons.
Exceptional buoyancy
Each square metre of pontoon provides 350kg of buoyancy with a safe working load of 175kg. When made up in a double height platform, the buoyancy effectively doubles – allowing loads up to 650kg. A correctly configured installation can comfortably support vehicles and tracked plant, and modular pontoons are safe for temporary bridging at events where even tens of thousands of spectators are passing through.
Tensile strength
A tensile strength test undertaken on a single connecting lug (there are six lugs per double module) puts the breaking strain of each individual lug at over 1000kg.
Maritime installation
Talk to us about coastal installations; the pontoon system is strong and flexible enough to withstand significant wave action; when configured appropriately, it may even be used to berth ships alongside.
Safety
The pontoon itself is designed and constructed to ISO 9001 certification and is codified by NATO.
