Back in August Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire played host to the inaugural Countryfile Live. The BBC took the decision to take the institution that is Countryfile on the road and into the fields of one of Britain’s best know landmarks. Blenheim is also the only non-royal non-episcopal country house in England to hold the title of Palace. (There’s a little known fact for you)!
But what has all this got to do with us? Well we were in the fortunate position of being asked by to provide the pontoon access on the water for activities including Canoeing, Fishing or even have a go in a Coracle if you wanted to. (FYI this is a Coracle).
We supplied just over 500 square metres of pontoon in total which were used to build 3 ‘zones’ one for fishing, one for the canoeing and one for the coracles allowing thousands of people to come and have a go throughout the weekend. As the below image shows the pontoons work perfectly as a fishing platform and Countryfile presenter Adam Henson even popped along to make use of the pontoons and see what he could catch.
The good news is that the BBC will be back at Blenheim next year as will we hopefully!
