Filming pontoon uses

For a ‘Miss Marple’ production, the camera platform we built doubled as a barge to transport cast, equipment, actors and crew across the River Thames on location near Henley. The producer was impressed!

Secure for people and equipment

We will usually fit scaffold handrails around the pontoon but Combisafe barrier panels will prevent any loss of expensive equipment. Combisafe panels present a flush fitting kick panel some 20cm high with a narrow mesh fence then running to full handrail height.

Set pontoons

We supply floating pontoons configured as required to create any form of platform not only for camera work but for use as a set. We have cloaked pontoons in green screen as well as using more conventional coverings required by set designers such as decking and grass.

Waterside access

Pontoons may also be used to create moorings and jetties in locations such as rivers and lakes where filming needs to take place but the necessary facilities aren’t currently present. Our expert team will work with you to construct a pontoon that meets whatever needs you have; just give us a call and chat through your requirements.
