Sporting event expertise

We have extensive experience of providing pontoons to the sports industry, particularly sailing. We have been the sole provider of pontoons to The America’s Cup when it was on our shores in Portsmouth in 2015 and 2016, Sail GP and Cowes week to name but a few. In these instances, our pontoons have been utilised for a variety of purposes including walk ashore access for competitors and media, temporary mooring for the race boats and VIP viewing areas along the shore edge.

Pontoon specification

The modular nature of our pontoons makes them infinitely customisable in shape and size, meaning we can put them to use in practically any location that has water for any use you can think of. Floating football pitch, we can do that, floating golf holes where the pontoon is topped with artificial turf and themed, no problem. The limitations really are your imagination on what we can achieve.

Making it happen

Do call us to tap into our experience; our designer will be happy to work with you to create the ideal specification to make your event a success. We love a challenge and events such as this lead to the best imagery we’ve captured.

Safety boat provision

In addition to our pontoons, we can supply a huge range of safety vessels, from small, shallow-operating dinghies, to 8.8m Ribs and larger Cabin Ribs. Depending on your location we will advise the right boat for the environment. All of vessels can be trailered on the road and launched from a slipway.

Examples of sporting event pontoons include:

  • Triathlon swim entrance and exit ramps
  • Endurance events obstacles
  • Floating platforms for ‘Tough Mudder style events’
  • VIP viewing platforms
  • Rowing or sailing jetties
  • Floating sports pitches
